Refuse / Recyclables Service

The City of Ludington, through Republic Services, provides curbside refuse/recycling pickup each week. You are limited to three 33-gallon bags/containers each week, along with your recycling. (Please check the links below for more information.) Your refuse must be placed at the curb by 7 a.m. of your regularly scheduled pick-up day.

Access the Refuse Map (PDF) to find out what your regular refuse and recycling pick-up day is, based on your location.

Yard Waste is a separate service which requires the purchase of special yard waste bags ($2.00 per bag - from City Hall) or a seasonal yard waste cart ($65 per season). Yard Waste will be picked up on Mondays North of Ludington Ave. and on Tuesdays South of Ludington Ave. Leaf Pick-up services are provided curbside in the Fall - see Leaf Pick-up Services page for more info.

Please always have refuse, recycling, and yard waste out to the curb before 7am on your pickup day or no earlier than 5pm the night before your pick-up day.
